Ingenios Santos, one of the leading producers of sugar and sugarcane derivatives in Mexico, faced two major challenges that compromised both its operations and tax compliance. ‍Ingenios Santos implemented Mifiel to solve its need to comply with the SAT without traditional notary processes. The platform automatically integrates a proof of preservation in accordance with NOM-151 into every signed document, providing a certain date with full legal validity.

This allowed the company to eliminate the use of notaries, reducing costs and time, and ensuring that its tax contracts were deductible without setbacks during audits.

‍To solve the challenge of signing with producers located in different regions, Mifiel facilitated the complete digitization of the process. What previously involved travel and trips of up to three days, now takes place in hours and remotely.

Although there was initial concern about whether the producers would be able to adapt to using electronic signatures, the process turned out to be agile and frictionless. This was largely due to the fact that the platform is designed with a simple and intuitive user experience, which facilitated its adoption even among those not familiar with digital platforms.
